
Recipe of Gulai Daging Batang Pisang
Ingredients
- 2 banana’s stems (batang pisang), cutted into one inch pieces and throwed its thread
- 1kg cubed meat
- 75g curry stew powder
- 1 cup grinded dried chillies
- 4 cups thicked coconut milk
- 2.5liters melted coconut milk
- 1 cup oil
- 3 pieces cinnamons
- 6 pieces ‘bunga lawang’
- 4 stalks curry leaves
- Salt and sugar to taste
Sliced ingredients
- 30 onions, 15 cloves of garlic and 8cm gingers
Methods of cooking
- Heat the oil and stir fry sliced ingredients until it shrivels.
- Put in the cinnamons and ‘bunga lawang’. Leave it up to the aroma.
- Add grinded dried chillies and mix it well.
- Then, add curry powder and curry leaves. Add 1 cup of coconut milk. Slow down the fire and stir fry until the oil rises.
- Mix the meat and put everything into the pan. Mix well and cook until the meat wilted.
- Then, add coconut milk, let the curry boil until the meat tendered.
- Put banana’s stems (batang pisang) and cook them until soft.
- Lastly, add thickened coconut milk,sugar and salt.
- After the perfect cooking, turn off the kitchen fire.
